  • LOGAN UNIVERSITY PARTNERS WITH MISSOURI BAPTIST UNIVERSITY FOR 3+2 AGREEMENT
    In an effort to better serve students intending to pursue the athletic training profession, Logan University is proud to announce an articulated program agreement with Missouri Baptist University (MBU) located in St. Louis, Missouri. The agreement allows students to earn their bachelor’s degree in exercise science from MBU and their master’s degree in athletic training from Logan in a total of five years, saving time and money. Students applying to Logan’s Master’s in Athletic Training program under a 3+2 program agreement will qualify for a waived application fee.

    Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri, has announced a new partnership with University Hospitals (UH) Connor Integrative Health Network in Cleveland, Ohio. The partnership will allow Logan Doctor of Chiropractic students to rotate through the UH system, gaining valuable experience in an integrated health care environment. They'll work with UH's integrated chiropractic team in the areas of pain management, sports medicine, and physical medicine and rehabilitation, while developing an understanding of their role as a vital component of a large health system.

    LOGAN UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES 2021 SYMPOSIUM
    Logan University is pleased to welcome chiropractors and health science professionals back to Symposium this fall. Taking place Thursday, September 16 through Sunday, September 19 on Logan’s campus and at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark, the 2021 Symposium will provide continuing education opportunities, chiropractic exhibitors, networking events and an address by Logan President Clay McDonald, DC, MBA, JD. Named Andrew’s Outfield, the space honors former BCI employee Andrew Norton. 

    BOONE CENTER INC TO HOST DERBY IN THE PARK
    Boone Center, Inc. (BCI) will host its first Derby in the Park event on Saturday, May 1 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at 370 Lakeside Park located at 1000 Lakeside Park Dr. in St. Peters, Mo.     ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL COVID-19 VACCINE CLINIC RELOCATING TO CHESTERFIELD MALL IN APRIL
    St. Luke’s Hospital will relocate its COVID-19 vaccine clinic from its campus to a new location on the upper level of Chesterfield Mall near Macy’s. The relocation date is targeted for early April as the space is prepared to accommodate medical services.

    SIKICH ACQUIRES HOCHSCHILD, BLOOM & COMPANY

    Logan University’s newest Health Center, located in the Stephen A. Orthwein Center at Paraquad, is officially open and accepting patients. Located at 5200 Berthold Ave. in St. Louis, the Health Center is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

    LOGAN UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH
    Logan University is proud to announce an agreement with the St. Louis County Department of Public Health to help advance the health of those living in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Beginning in January 2021, Logan Doctors of Chiropractic will work closely with the Center’s team of health care providers to deliver chiropractic care to patients at the County’s John C. Murphy Health Center located at 6121 N. Hanley Road in Berkeley, Missouri. The partnership is made possible from the expansion of the Gateway to Better Health Program through the leadership of the Regional Health Commission.

    Logan is providing, at no cost, a 4-acre parcel of land near the south campus entrance which will be developed and maintained by Chesterfield Parks & Recreation. The park, which will be called Logan Park, will include a small playground ADA-accessible with rubberized surface with multiple structures; two multi-use courts for pickle ball; and one small pavilion with restroom facilities. On-site parking will also be available.

    FRANK DIAZ, ED.D, HAS BEEN NAMED ASSOCIATE PROVOST AND DEAN AT LOGAN UNIVERSITY
    In Dr. Diaz’s new role, he will work with content experts, faculty support coordinators, academic technology and other senior academic affairs leaders to establish a clear vision and strategy for curriculum design, development and delivery for Logan’s online, hybrid and campus-based programs. He will also implement and manage the new program development process and provide leadership and mentoring to the online program directors.

    Joseph Pfeifer, DC has been named Associate Provost and College of Chiropractic Dean at Logan University. Dr. Pfeifer, who was appointed at the end of February, oversees Logan’s campus-based health professions programs, including the College of Chiropractic, and the Montgomery Health Center.

    Assistance League of St. Louis today announces the opening of 17 fully equipped closets in Saint Louis Public Schools to provide basic clothing needs even more quickly to deserving children. This delivery model will serve more than 4,800 elementary school students and is a new approach for this organization, which annually touches the lives or more than 44,000 St. Louisans and has provided help to deserving children and adults for more than 30 years. 

    GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY FOR CHESTERFIELD SPORTSCOMPLEX SET FOR NOVEMBER 10

    Chesterfield Hockey Association will break ground on the new Chesterfield SportsComplex in a ceremony on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Development for the complex began in September and is expected to take 11 months to complete. The grand opening is estimated for late summer 2019.

    Last week, the Humane Society of Missouri announced the closing of the organization’s facilities in Chesterfield Valley, effective Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018.  The closing includes the operations of both the Adoption Center and Animal Medical Center of Mid-America at 17537 Edison Ave., Chesterfield, Mo. 63005. The location will continue to offer animals for adoption and serve veterinary clients until 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018.
