Recycles Day
In their effort to promote energy conservation and recycling, the Chesterfield Citizens Committee for the Environment will be hosting an event to celebrate Chesterfield/Missouri/America Recycles Day on Saturday, November 4 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Central Park with a drive-thru recycling collection through the parking lot at 16365 Lydia Hill Drive. Please note that these services are first come, first served, and may not be available if capacity is reached. For more information, call 636.537.4000.
- Free, confidential document shredding will be offered by American Document Destruction (five-box limit per car. Onsite shredding.
- Electronics recycling will be provided by Midwest Recycling Center (MRC - fees may apply)
- Remains, Inc. will be collecting old clothes, linens and paired shoes
- Republic Services will be collecting all single stream recycling (paper, plastics, glass, etc.)
- Habitat for Humanity will be on site collecting used and new building materials and supplies for their ReStore program. For more info, visit habitat.org or call 314.531.4155 for their collection guidelines.
- Bicycles will be collected by St. Louis Bicycle Works
- Expired and/or unused prescriptions and over the counter medications by the Chesterfield Police Department and CAPY
- Charity Sharity is collecting fabric (clean and folded); yarn; needlework; sewing tools, notions and accessories; and sewing machines.
- St. Louis Teachers' Recycle Center is collecting new and gently used art, school, office supplies and MUCH MORE - please visit sltrc.com for a complete listing.
