JA HUMAN BOWLING Public Demonstration to “Strike Out” Financ
October 19th, 2013- Chesterfield, MO. A human sized metal caged bowling ball will be made available for public participation at no cost. Event attendees who become a human bowling ball will hurdle towards Jumbo foam pins labeled with the financial challenges that our youth face today. Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis, Inc. is opening up their doors to the community with their JA Human Bowling Fall Festival. Festival admission is free. Road Trip to Achievement (R2A) will play a significant role in the festival, offering kids aged 5-12 hands-on lessons and activities teaching money management. The festival also will offer multiple family friendly activities, such as tiny tot bowling, a cupcake cake walk, face painting, a photo booth, free back massages by Hawk Ridge Family Chiropractic, and a paint-a-train bank craft for the first 20 kids at the festival. “This will be a memorable experience”, says UMB Investment &Wealth Management’s Executive Vice President David Brody. “The problems our youth face today can be daunting. By letting them physically knock over the challenges in front of them, we are illustrating how JA’s programs effectively empower students to own their economic success.” Event table sponsorship space is still available. JA of Greater St. Louis is a 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to providing financial literacy programs for children in Missouri and Illinois.
