We look forward to welcoming you at our March General Membership Meeting on March 27 (please note the later date due to Spring Breaks). Get in the golf spirit and enjoy a wonderful lunch with like-minded business professionals at Persimmon Woods Country Club. The topic for the March luncheon is "Business & Leadership" presented by Wendell Stevens. Mr. Stevens is a McDonalds franchisee and President/CEO of The Steco Group, LLC.
Wendell Stevens is an entrepreneur’s entrepreneur. He is a business consultant, business coach and one of the most prolific motivational speakers in the industry today. He has developed his skills by studying some of the industries greatest speakers such as Napoleon Hill, Zig Zeigler, and Les Brown. He is the founder and CEO of Oliver Jarreau LLC, a business consulting firm whose focus is bringing out the best the client has to offer.
He began his working career at the age of sixteen as a cook at his local McDonald’s restaurant and fourteen years later, he purchased his first of six franchises. At that time, he was the youngest franchisee in the McDonald’s system. He also founded a start-up construction company, that, after six months of operation, was awarded the contract to participate in the earthwork preparation of the convention center in downtown St. Louis, MO.
As a business coach and business consultant, Mr. Stevens has worked with many small-business owners and several fortune 500 companies such as McDonald’s Corp, Yum Corp., and Sysco Food Services in helping them to reevaluate and reformulate people development systems. He has guided these clients toward achieving its business goals of outstanding sales growth and sustainable profitability.
Mr. Stevens attributes much of his business successes to his unwavering desire to see people succeed. It is his firm belief that people are the greatest asset in any organization. His motto is “Grow your people, grow your business.” It is no wonder that people development is his passion. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities of St. Louis and Metro East. He has also served Yum! Corporation’s World Hunger Campaign.
Mr. Stevens began his formal business training while working at McDonald’s Restaurants and attending Hamburger University. He graduated with a degree in Hamburger-ology (yes, a real degree!). He also studied Business Management at Campbellsville University in Louisville, KY and earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Practical Theology from Metropolitan Christian Bible Institute in St. Louis, MO.
Mr. Stevens is the proud father of two children and the proud grandfather of one of the most awesome granddaughters in the world. And although he has experienced great success in many different ways, his greatest passion is enjoying his family.
