Prior to entering academia\, Dr. York worked in media relations and media training for the 2008 Obama Presidential campaign. Afterward\, he continued to work in the public relations field for clients such as Pepsi Co.\, Nike\, and Scottrade Financial Services. Dr. York's specialties include media training\, social media\, and public relations campaign development\, which he now brings to life in the classroom. Beyond his primary passion in teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs\, Dr. York acts as a subject matter expert for KSDK News Channel 5\, writes for PR Daily\, researches in the area of nonverbal communication and consults http://doctoryork.weebly.com/  for businesses and organizations when available.\n\n\n\nReservations are required.
