• Work in Chesterfield

  • At the heart of Chesterfield’s growth is a robust economy bolstered by more than 2,300 businesses and more than 75,000 employees working within the community, and an annual consumer spending of over 2.7 billion.

This progressive city is proud to be the home of major manufacturing firms. Chesterfield also boasts a healthy base of family business and is a retail shopping destination in the St. Louis region.

Since its establishment in 1988, Chesterfield has grown from a small, rural farm area to one of the most successful, business-friendly communities in the St. Louis area. Meticulous community planning, an ideal location, abundant land, excellent hotel and conference facilities, prime residential development and a well-educated work force (25 percent of whom have obtained graduate degrees or higher) have created a firm foundation for continued economic growth well into the future.

Located along the I-64 technology corridor, Chesterfield is home to numerous offices and high-tech firms. New facilities constructed in just the past few years are quick to be occupied, leading to an average vacancy rate consistently in the low teens. Chesterfield is home to several medical facilities, including the Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Orthopedic Center, Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital and Chesterfield Medical Center. Also home to the top-rated St. Luke’s hospital, the community is becoming a destination for medical professionals and their patients. Mercy Health has recently announced plans to construct a new corporate campus to include a virtual care center, outpatient hospital and their headquarters in the heart of Chesterfield.

Due to its central location in the region and impressive demographics, Chesterfield is highly sought after by retailers, corporate decision makers and health care providers. In 2013, two outlet malls opened in the region, adding a mix of nearly 200 new stores! Taubman Prestige Outlets and St. Louis Premium Outlets are destinations for shoppers throughout the area and for tourists alike. Chesterfield is also home to the only American Girl store in Missouri, located in the Chesterfield Mall next to the Cheesecake Factory.
