August A. Busch Memorial Wildlife

Busch Wildlife has 7,000 acres as refuge to all manner of wildlife. Public fishing in 33 lakes, hunting and dog training areas. Located about 18 minutes west of Chesterfield off Hwy. 94 and I –64/Hwy. 40.



Babler State Park

Within a 10-minute drive from Chesterfield, this Missouri State Park features a swimming pool and 2,439 acres open for the public's enjoyment with paved and natural hiking trails and horseback trails. Located off Hwys. 109 and BA. The park visitor's center is open 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. April through November the park is open 7 a.m.-9 p.m. and November through April the hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Babler State Park features 75 campsites, including 41 electrical sites. Daniel Boone Home and Boonesfield Village

The historic Daniel Boone Home and Boonesfield Village capture the frontier spirit of the Missouri Valley's earliest settlers. The Boone Home, which is furnished with authentic pieces, was the last residence of America's first and most enduring folk hero. Boonesfield Village is a collection of restored structures from the late 18th to the mid-19th centuries. Located on Hwy. F in south St. Charles County. Open daily March 1 – Thanksgiving.

Hidden Valley Ski Resort

Hidden Valley Ski Resort attracts approximately 60,000 skiers every winter. This popular 25-acre resort has two triple chairlifts, eight ski runs serving all levels of ability and a 10,000 square foot. Day lodge with bar and fast food restaurant. Lessons, leagues, skis, boards and boot rentals are available. Just 15 minutes southwest of Chesterfield in Eureka.

Katy Trail State Park

The 186-mile long Katy Trail extending from St. Charles to Sedalia can be found just west of Chesterfield along the majestic bluffs of the Missouri River. The trail offers a variety of biking and hiking opportunities. The trail is open from sunrise to sunset, and many parts of the tails are accessible to the handicapped.

Kemp Auto Museum

One of the largest collections of vintage Mercedes-Benz automobiles in North America will be among the vehicles on display. This wonderful facility is also available for rental for parties and special events.


Museum of Transportation

You'll enjoy 50-acres of impressive, outdoor displays including passenger and freight locomotives, automobiles, boats and airplanes at the famed Museum of Transportation. Open Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. ; Thursday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. ; Sunday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is $4 adults, $2 seniors and children ages 5-12, and free for children under 5 accompanied by an adult family member. Just 10 minutes east of Chesterfield in nearby Kirkwood .


Six Flags St. Louis Theme Park & Hurricane Harbor Water Park

Visit Six Flags for a day of adventure on the roller coasters or for a day of relaxation at one of many shows. Stop by Hurricane Harbor to cool off in the park's many pools, rivers and water slides. Approximately 25 minutes from Chesterfield. Check for seasonal schedule.


Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House & Education Center

Includes 8,000 square foot tropical conservatory, the Lopata Learning Lab, the
Emerson Electric Co. Theatre, the Native Habitat and the Madame Butterfly Gift
Shop. Inside the soaring three-story conservatory, visitors may enjoy more than
1,000 tropical butterflies fluttering through the lush, flowering vegetation. In
addition to self-guided tours, regular events include educational programs for
all ages, lectures, and special exhibits opening twice yearly and special events
monthly. Open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Memorial Day – Labor Day, and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
the remainder of the year. The Butterfly House is closed Mondays, Thanksgiving,
Christmas and New Year's Day.
