Located in Forest Park, the St. Louis Zoo exhibits hundreds of animal species including invertebrates, fish, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals. The Zoo began in 1904 with the construction of the World's Fair Flight Cage and became official in 1910 with the formation of the Zoological Society of St. Louis. The cost of admission is free, excluding some special attractions. Special attractions include Stingrays at Caribbean Cove, Children's Zoo, Conservation Carousel, Sea Lion Show, Motion Simulator, 3-D Movie, and the Zooline Railroad. Enjoy a trip around the St. Louis Zoo aboard the Zooline Railroad, a small passenger train that encircles the entire zoo, stopping at several attractions.
