Includes 8,000 square foot tropical conservatory, the Lopata Learning Lab, the Emerson Electric Co. Theatre, the Native Habitat and the Madame Butterfly Gift Shop. Inside the soaring three-story conservatory, visitors may enjoy more than 1,000 tropical butterflies fluttering through the lush, flowering vegetation. In addition to self-guided tours, regular events include educational programs for all ages, lectures, and special exhibits opening twice yearly and special events monthly. Open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Memorial Day - Labor Day, and 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. the remainder of the year. The Butterfly House is closed Mondays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. |
