The City, in partnership with the Great Rivers Greenway District, is in the process of completing the 17-mile Monarch-Chesterfield Levee Trail that will connect atop the Monarch Levee around the Chesterfield Valley. Completed areas are between the Hardee's Iceplex and the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Fields (approximately 4 miles) and from Long Road to Baxter Road along Edison Avenue. Trailheads are at both locations. The next phase, scheduled to be in use in early 2011, will connect under the Boone Bridge to the Howell Island Conservation Area. |
