    CBIZ Retirement Plan Services

    Ed is a Vice President and Senior Plan Consultant for CBIZ Retirement Plan Services.  In addition to his insurance licenses, Mr. Hinders holds the Series 6 and 63 Securities licenses, and the Series 65 Investment Advisor license. He has also earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies associated with the University of Pittsburgh. Through the Center for Fiduciary Studies he has received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility.

    Mr. Hinders’ primary goal is to assist plan sponsors in the management of their fiduciary responsibilities. He is responsible for implementing CBIZ’s proprietary fiduciary risk management process known as The CBIZ Fiduciary Risk Manager™ on behalf of clients. The CBIZ Fiduciary Risk Manager™ was established to help individuals manage the personal liability associated with being a Fiduciary to a qualified plan.

    In addition, Ed is a thought leader in the industry and has spoken before the Financial Executives International (FEI) on the topic of DOL Regulations and Fee Transparency. He has also conducted numerous public seminars on various retirement plan topics including the power of “consortium buying” to help public school districts save money and improve their supplemental 403(b) and 457(b) plans. He and his team have been recognized by PlanSponsor.com as one of the “Best of the Best” retirement plan advisory teams in the United States. In 2014, CBIZ Retirement Plan Services was named one of the 2014 PLANADVISER Top 100 Retirement Advisers.

    Ed has over thirty-eight years of experience in the retirement, property & casualty risk management and employee benefits industry. Prior to joining CBIZ, he served as a dedicated Pension Consultant with Marsh, Inc. and Mercer HR Services.

    Ed is a board member of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce, and was awarded the Chamber’s “Task Master Award”, which recognized his volunteer services. He is also an Associate Member of the National Tooling & Machining Association and is familiar with the needs of precision custom manufacturing industries.

    Ed resides in Wildwood, Missouri, with his wife, Peggy.  Ed and Peggy have two married daughters and are blessed with four young grandchildren. In his free time, Ed enjoys reading, golfing, biking and spending time with the grandkids.
