As of the end of February 2009, Metro will not be providing bus transportation into West County because the voters turned down a tax increase that would have gone to Metro for operating and maintenance cost.

The problem that this has created is that many people from the city who rely on Metro buses to get them to work in Chesterfield have no way to get west of 270.

The Leadership Alumni Committee felt it was important to have Garry Earls speak about the ramifications of this issue and possible solutions.

Please join us on February 17 at the Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center from 7:30- 9 a.m. as we welcome Garry W. Earls, P.E., Chief Executive Operating Officer of County Executive .   Please be sure to invite and bring a guest to this informative Leadership Alumni event as Mr. Earls discusses the Metro System in a presentation entitled,
“Who Needs Metro? You Do.”

The cost for this event is $15.
