Get Involved in a Chamber Committee

The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce is focused on helping members build their businesses and keeping members connected to the Chamber and the community. Joining a Chamber committee is a great way to make connections while serving with respected business leaders. There is a Chamber committee for everyone’s expertise or interests. To receive more information about a committee, contact the Chamber staff or request to be placed on a committee now. A Chamber Staff member will confirm your request.

President’s Circle
This is a contribution based committee. The dues enable the Chamber to raise additional capital to support economic development. Monthly meetings are held with key business people and presentations by officials are made in a small group setting. If you are interested in this group, please contact the Chamber office. Business Education Committee
Responsible for planning educational programs and securing speakers for the Business Over Breakfast and Lunch and Learn educational seminars during the year. Business Over Breakfast seminars are breakfast meetings featuring a speaker discussing relevant/timely topics. Lunch and Learns are of similar structure but during the lunch hour. The Business Education Committee meets the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at the Chamber office.

Marketing Committee
Looks after the marketing needs of the Chamber. Research of current marketing trends and developing strategies to add value to Chesterfield businesses. Responsibilities include integrating social media outlets, website development and enhancing print marketing to promote the Chamber. The Marketing Committee meets every second Tuesday of each month at 12:00 p.m. at the Chamber office

Membership Committee
Develops new members and works to enhance membership retention. Responsibilities of committee members include attending new member ribbon cuttings and greeting new members at the General Membership Meetings and networking events. Must be a Chamber member for at least six months prior to joining and should be comfortable making phone calls to new members. The Membership Committee meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at the Chamber office.(*Members of the Membership Committee-see 3 month form.)

Annual Gumbo Flats Pumpkin Run and Children’s Fun Run Committee
This committee organizes the Chamber’s community 10K and 5K Run/Walk event in October. Responsibilities include recruiting participants, soliciting bag donations, volunteering the day of race and a variety of tasks as assigned.

Holiday Gala Dinner and Auction Committee

The Annual Winter Festival Dinner and Auction takes place early December and features a dinner with live and silent auctions. Committee members help in the preparation and facilitation of the event and soliciting donations for the auction. Members of this committee should be comfortable spending time finding and soliciting donations and promoting the event. Attendance of committee members is encouraged the evening of the event.

Chamber Understanding City Operations (CUCO)
Meets monthly with Chesterfield city officials to review current and future actions being considered by the city council. The purpose is to understand the city budget process, review expenditures and maintain dialogue with city officials regarding matters the Chamber and its members deem important to business and the community. The committee makes recommendations to the full Board of Directors for resolutions or actions to be taken. CUCO meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at the Chamber office.

Annual Golf Tournament Committee
Helps plan the Chamber’s Golf Classic and silent auction, taking place this year on April 30, 2012. Responsibilities include recruiting participants, soliciting auction donations and welcome bag items and preparing giveaway bags, etc..

Government Affairs
This committee reports information pertaining to local, state and national issues affecting Chamber members and the community.

Programs Committee
Secures informative and entertaining speakers for the monthly General Membership Meetings.
